Aims
NIH-funded program that supports a collaboration between UNMHSC and Panama and Chile to improve surveillance, diagnostics and therapeutics for hantavirus infections in Chile and Panama.
- To determine several environmental aspects that influence rodent populational sizes and their seroprevalence to hantavirus.
- To develop and test an explict spacial model for predicting outbreaks of hantavirus, including to climatic variability as a force.
